Fargo is a city in the state of North Dakota, which also serves as the county seat for the Cass County. Children’s Museum at Yunker Farm

This City of Fargo kids’ museum is housed in the historic Newton Whitman House, which was constructed in the year 1870. The Newton Whitman House has the distinction of being the very first brick home in the region, and in 1905, it was bought by the Yunker family. The Children’s Museum at Yunker Farm was established in the mid 1980s, and was officially opened to the general public in 1989. Fargo Air Museum
The Fargo Air Museum is housed within the Hector International Airport. It is well noted for showcasing diverse historic aircraft, around 90% of which are still airworthy. These buildings were moved from their original locations, and have been arranged in a village setting. Some of the most curious of these structures include a church, a drugstore, a fire station, a general store, a jail and a schoolhouse. Red River Zoo
The Red River Zoo was first opened to the public just before the turn of the 21st century. it occupies a 33 acre piece of land replete with rolling hills, a number of ponds and exquisite landscaped plant exhibits. This City of Fargo zoo boasts of over 500 trees and shrubs, which has fashioned a wilderness oasis at the center of urban landscape. The Red River Zoo is also a refuge for 300 different animals sourced from 75 species, complete with habitats that mimic the natural environment for these wildlife. Fargodome
The Fargodome is situated within the campus of the North Dakota State University. This is an indoor stadium, which serves as the home field for the university’s Bison football team. The Fargodome was first opened in the early 1990s, and has hosted numerous special events ever since then. This can include musical concerts, athletic games and even trade fairs. For the Bison’s football game, the Fargodome can accommodate up to 18,700 spectators. On the other hand, for bigger events such as concerts, it can offer a seating capacity of over 25,000. Roger Maris Museum
The Roger Maris Museum is dedicated to the memory of major league baseball player, Roger Maris. In the year 1961, Maris broke the world record by hitting 61 home runs in a single season. The Roger Maris Museum is glass enclosed, and showcases a variety of artifacts and memorabilia associated with Maris’ early life and his major league baseball playing days. This City of Fargo museum also comes complete with a theater, in which visitors can view historic footages of this baseball legend.
Lindenwood Park
The Lindenwood Park is the biggest multiuse park in Fargo, and is situated along the Red River. It features 7 baseball pitches, a number of which are utilized by youth baseball leagues. The Lindenwood Park features several shelters that can be used for picnics and meetings. As a point of reference, the biggest of these shelters can accommodate 200 people, and comes complete with charcoal grills, electricity and restrooms. There are also several trails including skating trails and biking trails. Bicycles can be hired over the course of the summer season. This City of Fargo park as well boasts of a scenic camping ground.
